Drive a race-prepared single-seater on an actual Formula 1 circuit. A small-group experience in Abu Dhabi, run to a standard we would put our own name on — because we do.
Allow about 4 hours door to door. Departures are kept small, kit is provided, and hotel pickup can be added at checkout.
The specialist activity on this experience is delivered by our Yas Marina Circuit, working under their own permits and insurance, with a Aura Avenue driver-guide looking after you door to door.
Every operator we subcontract holds the permits, insurance and safety record we would demand of ourselves — checked before we put our name near them. You get the adrenaline; the paperwork was our job.
Practicalities, handled: your driver's WhatsApp arrives the evening before with the exact pickup time; the vehicle carries chilled water and chargers; timings flex on the day if a flight, a nap or a whim demands it. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before travel, and you can pay on the day.

Your day, stop by stop
07:00 · Collected, calm, caffeinated
Your driver-guide collects you in the Carnival and points it at Yas Island. Driving sessions typically run in the cooler morning hours, which suits the car and your nerves equally. Use the ride to watch the circuit's grandstands rise out of the marina.
08:00 · Sign-in and the briefing room
Paperwork first: licence check, waiver, and a seat in the briefing with the partner operator's instructors. You cover the racing line, flag signals, braking markers and what the marshals expect of you. It is the most useful classroom hour you will ever sit through.
08:45 · Suited and seated
Race suit, balaclava, helmet, gloves, then the seat fit. The cockpit is snug by design, and the crew walks you through the paddle-shift gearbox and pedal box until it feels less alien. There is no clutch work once you are rolling.
09:15 · Learning the circuit
Programmes typically begin with guided familiarisation laps so you learn the corners before you are trusted with speed. Pay attention here — Yas Marina rewards drivers who know where the track goes next. The instructors are watching how you build, not how you brag.
09:45 · Your laps
Then it is you, a race-prepared single-seater, and the same tarmac the Formula 1 field uses for the season finale. Build pace lap by lap; the grip is there long before your courage is. The main straight will recalibrate your idea of fast.
10:30 · Debrief on the pit wall
Out of the car, helmet off, grinning. The team runs through your session and lap times, and there is time for photos in the pit lane. This is the part you will retell for years, so get the pictures.
11:00 · Back in the Carnival
Your driver-guide is waiting with cold water and air-conditioning. We can loop past Yas Marina or drop you on the island for lunch before heading back to your hotel. Adrenalin fades slowly; enjoy it.
Insider tips
- Book the earliest session you can. The air is cooler, the track is quieter, and you will be sharper before the day heats up.
- Wear thin socks and slim trainers. Race boots and single-seater pedal boxes are narrow, and chunky soles cost you feel.
- Eat a light breakfast. Adrenalin and a full stomach are poor teammates.
- On your first laps, brake a marker board earlier than feels necessary. The boards exist because everyone overestimates themselves at Turn 1.
- In the weeks around the Grand Prix the circuit gets extremely busy — if your trip falls near it, book well ahead and we will find the gap.
Questions, answered
Do I need a racing licence?
No. A valid driving licence is required, and the partner operator sets the exact conditions — minimum age and how long you must have held it. We confirm all of it with you at booking so there are no surprises at sign-in.
I have never driven a paddle-shift car. Is that a problem?
Not at all. The briefing and crew cover the gearbox before you move a metre, and sequential paddles are far more forgiving than a manual. If you can drive an ordinary automatic, you can learn this in minutes.
Are there height and weight limits?
Yes — single-seater cockpits have practical limits on height and weight for safe belts and pedal reach. The partner operator confirms the exact figures when we book. Tell us your measurements up front and we will check before you commit.
Can my family come and watch?
Yes. The Carnival seats your whole group, and the venue typically has viewing areas near the pit building. It is a genuinely good spectacle from the outside too — bring them.
Is it really the Formula 1 track?
It is Yas Marina Circuit, the venue that hosts the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Experiences run on the circuit itself, though the configuration used can vary with the day's operations. Either way, you are driving Grand Prix tarmac.
What if my session is cancelled?
The circuit's calendar is busy, especially around Grand Prix season, and track operations or weather can occasionally move sessions. If that happens we rebook you on the next available slot and rearrange your transfers. Booking early in your trip gives us room to manoeuvre.
