15:00 · Chauffeured out of the city
Your driver collects you mid-afternoon and the desert takes about an hour to arrive. Luggage stays sensible — a small bag is all you need — and the transition from marble lobby to open sand is handled entirely on your behalf. This is camping in the same way a yacht is a boat.
16:30 · Check-in, and a tent that redefines the word
Your tent has a proper bed with real linen, a private bathroom, climate control and a deck facing open dunes. There is a moment, standing in a hot shower in the middle of a sand sea, when the concept fully lands. Take your time settling in — the daylight hours in the tent are worth having.
17:30 · Sunset, taken seriously
A camel ride or a guided walk up the ridge for sundown, with gahwa and dates served as the dunes go amber and then rose. Nothing about this hour is rushed, because it is the hour the whole product is built around.
20:00 · Dinner under the stars
A white-tablecloth dinner served at your own table in the open — multiple courses, proper glassware, candlelight and a horizon of dark dunes. Dietary requirements are handled in advance, not negotiated on the night. It is the least likely restaurant setting in the Emirates, and one of the best.
22:00 · Fire, stars and absolutely nothing scheduled
The fire is lit, the sky is enormous and the programme deliberately ends here. On clear moonless nights the Milky Way is plainly visible. When you are done, a real bed with real pillows is thirty steps away — the detail that separates this from every other night in the desert.
07:00 · Sunrise, breakfast, and a slow morning
First light over the dunes from your own deck, then a leisurely breakfast. There is no early convoy, no packing ritual, no rush. Your car returns you to the city typically by mid-to-late morning, arriving rested — which, for a night in a tent, remains a quiet miracle.

Insider tips

Choose your moon when you book: new moon for the full Milky Way, full moon for silver dunes bright enough to walk under. We will tell you the phase for your dates.
Arrive on time, not fashionably late. The daylight hour in and around your tent — deck, shower, dunes out the door — is part of what you are paying for.
Ask us to request a tent facing open dunes rather than the camp interior. Sunrise from your own deck is worth the small fuss.
Pack a proper warm layer from November to February. White tablecloths do not stop desert night air; the camp's blankets and your jumper together do.
Do not schedule anything for the morning. The slow hour after sunrise, coffee in hand, doing precisely nothing, is the best-kept part of the whole experience.

What are the bathroom arrangements, honestly?

Private and en suite — your tent has its own bathroom with a flushing toilet, hot shower and proper towels. It is the defining difference between this and standard desert camping. If you have specific accessibility needs, tell us and we will confirm the exact set-up for your dates.

Is the tent air-conditioned or heated?

Yes — tents have climate control, cooling for the warm months and heating for winter nights, which genuinely get cold in the desert. Bedding is hotel-grade. You will sleep better than you expect to, which most guests report with mild indignation.

Is alcohol served with dinner?

In the UAE alcohol is only served at licensed venues, and desert camps vary — some luxury camps are licensed, many are not. Tell us when you book and we will confirm the position for your specific camp and dates. Please do not bring your own; that is not permitted at unlicensed sites.

Is this right for a honeymoon or anniversary?

It is arguably the single most romantic night the Emirates offers — private dinner, firelight, a sky full of stars and a proper bed. Tell us the occasion and we will arrange the details that matter: table placement, flowers, a cake, timing. We are quietly good at this.

Can children come?

Yes — families are welcome and children generally consider a luxury tent the greatest invention in hospitality. Tell us ages when booking so we can arrange suitable bedding and child seats for the transfer. Couples seeking silence should tell us that too; we will advise on dates and set-ups accordingly.

What should I pack, and is there wifi?

A small overnight bag: warm layer for winter evenings, comfortable shoes for sand, sunscreen, and whatever makes you feel human in the morning. Connectivity is limited-to-none depending on the camp and the dune — we suggest treating that as the amenity it secretly is.
