The Emirates plus Muscat and the fjords — two countries, one seamless booking. One booking covers the whole itinerary: hotels, private touring, transfers and the named entries, sequenced so each day builds on the last.

Every package is adjusted to your dates, pace and taste before anything is confirmed. Tell us who is travelling and we will shape it around you.

Multi-day trips live or die on sequencing: which day to spend in the desert, when to see the mosque, where the rest day belongs. That ordering is the craft we sell.

Practicalities, handled: your driver's WhatsApp arrives the evening before with the exact pickup time; the vehicle carries chilled water and chargers; timings flex on the day if a flight, a nap or a whim demands it. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before travel, and you can pay on the day.

The rhythm of the trip

  1. Days 1–3 · The Emirates first

Abu Dhabi's set pieces — the Grand Mosque, the Louvre, the Corniche — plus a Dubai day, all with your driver-guide and a vehicle from our fleet. Visas and paperwork for the Oman leg are confirmed before you ever fly, so the crossing is admin-free on your side.

  2. Day 4 · The fjords of Musandam

North through Ras Al Khaimah to the Omani exclave of Musandam, passports in hand for the land border — formalities typically take an hour or so. Then a traditional dhow out into the khors, sheer rock walls dropping into still green water, run by our partner operator with swimming and snorkelling stops along the way.

  3. Day 5 · On to Muscat

A short flight — around an hour in the air — puts you in the Omani capital by lunch. First impressions do the work: white low-rise city, dark mountains behind, a corniche that curves like a scimitar.

  4. Day 6 · Muscat proper

The Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque in the morning, when non-Muslim visiting hours typically run, then Mutrah's corniche and the old souq — frankincense, silver and proper haggling. Old Muscat and the palace quarter round out the afternoon.

  5. Day 7 · The wild coast

An optional day east along the coast road — the Bimmah sinkhole and, for the sure-footed, the wadi pools that Oman is quietly famous for. This is the day people go home talking about.

  6. Day 8 · Home or onward

Fly back to Abu Dhabi or Dubai for your onward connection, or extend either country. One booking, two nations, and every handover between them already handled.

Insider tips

  • Keep your passport on you for the whole trip — borders, airports and hotel check-ins in two countries will all want it.
  • Do not mentally convert rials as if they were dirhams; one rial is roughly ten. It is the classic Gulf traveller's error.
  • Mutrah Souq is at its best in the evening — and frankincense weighs nothing, packs flat and beats any fridge magnet.
  • Take the morning departure on the dhow: the water is calmest, the light is best, and dolphins are seen most often early.
  • Non-Muslim visiting hours at Muscat's Grand Mosque typically fall in the morning — schedule it first in the day, never last.

Questions, answered

Do we need separate visas for Oman?

Usually, yes — the UAE and Oman run separate immigration. Many nationalities qualify for an Omani e-visa or visa on arrival, but rules vary by passport, so we confirm your specific requirements before anything is ticketed.

Do we fly or drive to Oman?

Both, ideally. Muscat is best reached by a short flight of around an hour; Musandam's fjords are the opposite — a drive north through Ras Al Khaimah and across the land border. The package uses each route where it makes sense.

What currency does Oman use?

The Omani rial — and mind the zeros, because one rial is worth roughly ten dirhams. Cards are widely accepted in Muscat hotels and restaurants; carry some cash for the souq and coastal stops.

Is Oman more conservative than the UAE?

A touch, in feel more than in rules — the same modest-dress logic applies, shoulders and knees covered in public places. The Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque asks for full covering and headscarves for women, and non-Muslim visitors are welcome during its visiting hours.

Who operates the dhow cruise?

The Musandam dhow is delivered by our partner operator, as marine activities there are. We handle the booking, the border logistics and the transfers on either side, so on the day it feels like one seamless outing.

How many days does the combination need?

Six to eight to do both countries without rushing — three UAE days, a Musandam day and two to three around Muscat is the comfortable shape. Musandam alone also works as a single long day from the Emirates if your time is short.
