A location-scouted shooting day for creators — permits handled, angles pinned, reels fed. This is a fully private experience in Abu Dhabi: your own vehicle, your own driver-guide, and an itinerary that flexes on the day.

One price covers the whole vehicle for up to 6 guests — bring the family and the price does not move. Allow about 6 hours. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included.

Departures are built backwards from the light: golden hour is the destination, everything else is logistics. Your guide knows the angles, the reflections and the security guards by name.

Practicalities, handled: your driver's WhatsApp arrives the evening before with the exact pickup time; the vehicle carries chilled water and chargers; timings flex on the day if a flight, a nap or a whim demands it. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before travel, and you can pay on the day.

Your day, stop by stop

  1. Before the day · The call and the shot list

This tour starts before pickup: a planning chat where you send the reels and reference frames you are chasing, and we pin each one to a real location and a realistic time of day. Anything needing permissions gets flagged and arranged in advance, so the shoot day contains zero negotiating with security.

  2. Golden hour · The light-critical location first

We open at whichever spot on your list lives or dies by low light, often the Grand Mosque exterior, the dune edge or a Corniche skyline angle. No warm-up stop, no wasted first hour. Your driver-guide has the parking, the walking route and the exact standing positions already solved.

  3. Mid-morning · The run-and-gun loop

A tight circuit of the pinned outdoor locations: the Louvre's dome from the shoreline, Qasr Al Watan's gates, palm-lined Corniche frames, whatever your list calls for. The Carnival works as your mobile green room between stops, with outfit changes, gear swaps and charging while you move.

  4. Midday · Indoors while the sun is brutal

Overhead sun is unusable, so those hours go to the interior and shaded stops on your list, with any tickets or access arranged beforehand. It is also when you back up footage, eat something and let your phone storage breathe.

  5. Afternoon · The closing set-piece

The six hours are built around one golden hour, at the start or the end of the day, and if you have booked the sunset version this is where the big finish lands. One location, done thoroughly, rather than three done breathlessly.

  6. Wrap · The content audit

Before drop-off, you and your guide run the shot list one last time in the car. Anything missed gets an honest answer about whether ten more minutes fixes it. You leave with the list cleared, not with a phone full of maybes.

Insider tips

  • Shoot every location vertical first, horizontal second. The reel is the deliverable; the landscape crop is the souvenir.
  • Put the mosque at first or last light, never midday. Floodlit white marble at blue hour performs; noon marble is a glare test your camera fails.
  • Arrive with batteries full and storage empty, then keep everything topping up in the car between stops. A dead phone at golden hour is an unforced error.
  • Lock the shot list on the planning call and defend it on the day. Six hours does a pinned list brilliantly and an improvised one poorly.
  • Capture ten seconds of clean B-roll at every stop before the posed material: the walk-in, the details, the wide. Future you, editing at midnight, will be grateful.

Questions, answered

Do I need a filming permit?

For personal and organic social content shot handheld in public areas, generally no. Commercial productions, branded work, professional crews and shoots at managed sites often do need permissions, and rules vary by location. Tell us exactly what you are shooting and for whom during the planning call, and we will advise honestly and arrange what is required.

Can I fly a drone?

Assume no. Drone flying in the UAE is tightly regulated, requiring registration and approvals, and unauthorised flights carry serious penalties. If aerial shots are essential to your brief, raise it in the planning call and we will tell you what is realistically possible; do not pack the drone and hope.

How do outfit changes work?

The Carnival doubles as your green room, with space to change between stops and somewhere to hang the next look. Budget around fifteen minutes per change once you factor in hair and re-setting. Our honest advice is three outfits maximum across the day; more than that and wardrobe starts eating your golden hour.

Who actually operates the camera?

Your driver-guide knows the angles, holds reflectors of dignity and will happily operate your phone or press record on your camera for straightforward shots. This is a locations-and-logistics product, though, not a full production crew. If you need a dedicated photographer or videographer for the day, say so at booking and we will arrange it in advance.

What are the rules for content at the Grand Mosque?

Modest dress for everyone on camera and off, with abayas loanable on site, and non-Muslims welcome outside prayer times. Posing must stay respectful: no fashion-editorial contortions, no couple embraces, and tripods or obviously commercial setups need their own approval, which we can pursue if your brief requires it. Plenty of stunning creator content is shot there within the rules; we will keep you on the right side of them.

When is the best time of year for a shoot day like this?

October to April gives you usable light for more of the day, comfortable outdoor changes and clean winter air. Summer still works, but we compress the outdoor stops hard around sunrise or sunset and lean on interiors through the middle, and your make-up will fight the humidity. The planning call is where we match the season to your list.
