Your own guide, your own pace, photos of you actually in them. This is a fully private experience in Abu Dhabi: your own vehicle, your own driver-guide, and an itinerary that flexes on the day.
One price covers the whole vehicle for up to 6 guests — bring the family and the price does not move. Allow about 6 hours. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included.
This is the version of the city you cannot see from a tour bus: rooms, tables and streets chosen by people who live here, sequenced so each stop makes the next one make sense.
Practicalities, handled: your driver's WhatsApp arrives the evening before with the exact pickup time; the vehicle carries chilled water and chargers; timings flex on the day if a flight, a nap or a whim demands it. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before travel, and you can pay on the day.

Your day, stop by stop
09:00 · Just you and the guide
No group to wait for, no name-board scrum. Your driver-guide meets you in the lobby, you talk through what you actually care about, and the day is shaped there and then.
09:30 · The Grand Mosque, with you in the photos
Your guide knows every angle and takes the pictures, so your mosque album is not ninety shots of architecture and none of you. Modest dress applies, abayas can be borrowed on site, and non-Muslims are welcome outside prayer times.
11:30 · Coffee where locals actually go
A karak or gahwa stop chosen by your guide, not a hotel lobby. Solo means you fit where a coach never could.
12:30 · Your headline pick
Louvre Abu Dhabi, Qasr Al Watan or Qasr Al Hosn — decided that morning, not at booking. Your guide walks it with you or waits with the car, whichever you prefer.
14:00 · Lunch, table for one, sorted
Booked ahead, so there is no hovering at a host stand on your own. The guide joins you or leaves you in peace — your call, and it can change by the day's mood.
15:00 · The shot list
Wahat Al Karama for the mosque across the water, the Corniche skyline, the palace gates — a run of photo stops matched to the light, with someone on hand who can actually frame a picture.
Insider tips
- Hand your phone to the guide early and often — the difference between a trip with no photos of you and a proper album is simply asking.
- Wahat Al Karama, opposite the mosque, gives the reflection shot most visitors miss because coaches rarely bother crossing the road.
- Do the mosque at morning-quiet and save the Corniche for late light — the middle of the day is for interiors and lunch.
- Tell the guide your coffee order once; a good one will have karak appearing at exactly the right moments for the rest of the day.
- Ask for dinner recommendations before drop-off — a local's shortlist beats an hour of scrolling reviews alone in a hotel room.
Questions, answered
Is it awkward touring one-on-one with a guide?
Less than you would think, and our guides are chosen partly for exactly this. Some guests want commentary all day, some want quiet and logistics — say which you are, even mid-tour, and the guide adjusts without sulking.
Is Abu Dhabi safe for solo travellers, including women?
It is one of the safest cities you are likely to visit, with very low crime and a courteous public culture. Normal travel sense still applies at night, but touring alone by day is entirely unremarkable here. A licensed guide simply removes the residual friction.
Will the guide really take decent photos of me?
Yes — on this tour it is half the job. They know the angles, the light and where photography is permitted, and they will keep going for as long as you have patience. Come with your phone charged; some guests hand over a camera too.
Can I change the plan on the day?
Completely. The itinerary is a starting shape — skip the museum, double the souq time, chase a viewpoint. Solo means the vote is always unanimous.
Can I have a glass of wine with lunch?
Only licensed venues — typically hotel restaurants — serve alcohol in Abu Dhabi, and several good ones are on our lunch list. Tell your guide and they will book accordingly. Drinking in public places is illegal, so keep it to the licensed table.
What should I wear beyond the mosque?
Relaxed but respectful: shoulders and knees covered is a safe default in public places, and normal resort wear is fine at hotels and beaches. For the mosque, loose full-length clothing, with abayas borrowable on site. Choose light fabrics — it is mostly the sun you are dressing for.
